About Us

The Dannatt Lab is an inclusive undergraduate synthetic organic research lab which focuses on generating advances in organoboron methodology. We use organoboron research as an avenue to train undergraduates how to conduct modern organic chemistry, but more importantly how to think critically and solve challenging problems when there is no known solution. A dedicated student in the group will proceed through the entire scientific process from background reading and experimental design to external presentations and publications. This type of rigorous scientific training is advantageous for a myriad of careers paths. Whether a student’s career goals orient them toward graduate school, medical school, industrial positions, or other opportunities, training in a research lab is a valuable experience.

If you are interested in conducting research in the Dannatt lab, please contact Jonathan via email. You may also consider reaching out to current or former group members to discuss their experience in the lab.
